Discord is the main communication method for Inertia. Every Inertia account is tied directly to a Discord account and cannot be changed.
Organizers have a number of options to configure their Discord server to work with Inertia. To begin integrating, you will first need to install Inertia on your Discord server.
Once a match has been published, Inertia will notify the racers in the match and allow them to schedule the match. As an organizer, you can specify if you want this to be sent to the racers via DM or by creating a thread in the Scheduling Channel.
The Scheduling Channel is a channel in your Discord server that Inertia will create scheduled threads in. It will add the runners to the thread and post the relevant link for them to schedule their race(s).
You can also specify a Log Channel for Inertia to log all of its actions in. This is useful for debugging and ensuring that Inertia is working as expected.
You can specify the tournament URL for SpeedGaming in the SpeedGaming Schedule URL field for the tournament. This will allow Inertia to link directly to the tournament on SpeedGaming.
Inertia can automatically schedule matches on SpeedGaming for you. This is useful for large tournaments where you don't want to manually schedule each match. The schedule is pulled directly from SpeedGaming and updated every 5 minutes.
When a race is scheduled, Inertia will automatically create the Racetime.gg room 30 minutes prior to the race starting. Custom or defined goals can be set for the tournament or per race. Once the Racetime room is setup, Inertia will monitor the race for its result.
If the match is a best of 3, Inertia will automatically advance to the next race when appropriate and automatically setup the next race. When a player wins the first two races in a best of 3, Inertia will automatically cancel the third race. When the next room is setup, Inertia will notify the racers both in Discord (via DM or Thread) as well as in the recently completed Racetime room.
